We were jet set again this past weekend…literally. We flew up to Greenville Ohio with Mommy & Daddy to surprise Great Gandma for G Gramps’ memorial service up north and to attend The Great Darke County Fair. Great Gandma & G Gramps moved down here from Greenville about 15 years ago, but still visit their house in Ohio for 3 months out of the year. Great Gandma held another memorial service for G Gramps up there so all of their life long friends and other family could attend. It was great to meet all of our extended family and see all of Mommy’s childhood friends from when she used to visit. We had fun playing at Gandma’s and Daddy enjoyed seeing the town for the first time too!
Friday night at dinner with all The Schmermund’s! It’s very rare, but neat to have this group all together. Luckily the place was pretty empty because we ran around like heathens…
Saturday morning at the service…thanks Daddy for taking us to the back. We just couldn’t seem to sit still or keep our mouth shut and we didn’t want to distract anyone. :)
And well…don’t ask! Mommy didn’t really see us doing this! We’re two…we can do this right?
We did say a little prayer while we were up there…and yes, the service was over.
Our cousins Carly and Sarah…thanks for playing with us the entire weekend. We had sooo much fun!
Here we are with Great Gandma. We had so much fun at her house. She has so many little antique tables, dishes, dollies and little things for little girls. Hopefully we didn’t destroy too much!
Here we are at the famous Maid Rite! They have great little sandwiches that are in between a hamburger and a sloppy jo.

It’s tradition to stick your gum on the wall. We didn’t have any gum so we reversed the tradition and just grabbed a piece and starting chewing. YUCK! J/K.
Saturday afternoon we went to the park to play on the toys, run around and see the ducks and peacocks. Here is Mommy & Daddy on the swinging bridge.

We jumped and jumped and rocked the bridge. Here we are with Carly and Sarah again! Clare, Carly, Adde, Sarah
Running to check out the peacocks.
All of our cousins bought new sunglasses at the fair so we definitely had to try them out. Here’s Clare playing with Caitlin!
Adde with Sarah.
The whole fam riding the toys.
Finally on Sunday, we made it to the fair. Mommy & Daddy went on Saturday while we stayed with Great Gandma, but we saved up for a full day on Sunday. Here we are in our fair outfits sitting on one of our favorite things!
Well, back in March, we were super excited about pony rides, but now that we’re two…not interested at all. Poppa and Daddy tried to put on us the ponies and walk next to us, but we wanted nothing to do with them. Maybe next year.
We loved looking at the animals though. Here are some piggy's.
Eating kettle corn! We also had a funnel cake, fries, junk junk and more junk. Adde (L) Clare (R)
Monday morning before we left, we went out to the cemetery with Great Gandma to see G. Gramps’ headstone and learn about some of our family history. Here we are again…being two year olds and running around. Gandma said it was okay to have a little fun and we said a prayer for all the people in heaven before we left.
This was Mommy’s favorite thing to do when she would go with Grandma to the cemetery. She loved to pump the water into the bucket and water the plants at the graves. We had to give it a shot with Daddy.

We flew home Monday afternoon and we’re so glad we made the trip up to visit. We pretty much wore Mommy & Daddy out, but we’re already getting back into our routine here at home.
